Outsourcing – What is it and why do it?

Has any domestic appliance ever broken down? It would be normal to call someone out to repair it as they have the tools, the parts and the know-how, even if you could have attempted it yourself. That’s why most of us are in business, to provide a service to those who do not have the expertise to deal with the job in hand.

There are many reasons outsourcing the ‘accounts department’ can be the ideal business solution:

STAFFING
No recruitment costs
No holidays, sickness, maternity or employers national insurance
Full access to a competent team of bookkeepers with both one to one and across the board knowledge of your business accounts.

TIME
You have your valuable business time back, and can now concentrate on running your business more efficiently.
We ensure your VAT Returns, PAYE/NI  and Self Assessments returns, payments and other forms are sent on time .- No downtime lost on training a bookkeeper/accounts clerk, who may eventually leave.

INFORMATION
Sage allows us to send reports and back ups by e-mail, and when they have launched their hosted version, you can access your information 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from anywhere in the world with the help of the internet.
If you decide you would like Management Accounts, you are able to see the performance of your business now, instead of waiting until after your year end and your Accountant to complete them.

COSTS
Our hourly rate is £21.75 per hour Plus VAT for all aspects of accounting, no staggered rates, working as efficiently as possible. Once we have established how long it will take to prepare your books and accounts, we can agree a fixed monthly fee. Setting up can inflate the cost initially, but this is usually a one-off cost.
Payroll is charged at £5.00 per person per run, plus VAT.
For the P35 Annual Return, we charge £5.00 per P14/P60.
